How Do You Ensure My Branding Artwork is Printed Perfectly?

Over the last 20 years, I’ve learned a hard lesson: you can make the best pair of jeans in the world, but if the hang tag looks cheap, the customer’s first impression will be that the jeans are cheap. For a designer like you, your logo and packaging are your signature.

They communicate your brand’s promise of quality. That’s why we have a process that is just as meticulous for printing a label as it is for sewing a seam. We treat your artwork with the precision it deserves, ensuring it looks exactly as you envisioned.

You send your beautiful logo to the factory. But they tell you the file is unusable, causing frustrating delays and forcing you to compromise on the final print quality.

Getting the file format right from the start is the most important step to achieving a perfect print. It saves time and prevents any loss of quality. We prefer vector files because they are made of mathematical paths, not pixels. This means we can scale your logo to any size—from a tiny rivet to a large back patch—and it will remain perfectly crisp and sharp. If your design includes photographs or complex textures, we need a high-resolution raster file.

A resolution of 300 Dots Per Inch (DPI) is the professional standard for printing. Anything less will look blurry or pixelated. We also ask that you provide the source files with layers intact and any text converted to outlines. This gives us the flexibility to make small adjustments for printing and ensures there are no issues with missing fonts.

You worry about a small typo or a misplaced element. Discovering a mistake after a full print run is a costly and time-consuming disaster that can throw off your entire launch schedule.

The proofing stage is our shared safety net. It is where we work together to catch any potential issues before they become real problems. I’ve learned from experience that it’s much cheaper to spend an extra day reviewing proofs than it is to reprint a thousand hang tags.

The Blueprint (PDF Proof): This is the first and most critical proof. It is a technical file that shows all the final dimensions, text, logo placement, and position of any special elements like QR codes or foil stamping areas. You use this to confirm that all the information is correct and everything is in the right place.
